2025 Year in Review: A year full of IT projects, milestones and new ideas at IOTIQ

The year 2025 is ending – time for our obligatory review of an eventful year. Between exciting IT research projects, product updates, trade fairs and team highlights, a lot has happened and developed at IOTIQ.

A successful start to the year: completion of InnoSale & launch of GENIUS

Right at the start of the year, we focused on a very special IT project: InnoSale. After intensive work on the platform for improving sales systems for complex industrial plants, the project entered its final phase. With the exception of the reporting phase, which ended in September, we successfully closed this chapter with the final meeting in Leipzig, which we had the pleasure of hosting in February.
Almost at the same time, a new chapter began with the GENIUS project: the IT project officially kicked off with a kick-off meeting in Hildesheim. Here, we are working together with our project partners on solutions that harness the full potential of generative AI and large language models for the development lifecycle.

Product development: From Arbeitshandy to MobiVisor

A lot has also happened in the product area in 2025. We began developing our “Arbeitshandy” product back in February – including a dedicated landing page, new logo and icon.
This was followed in April by the major relaunch of the MobiVisor MDM site:

  • a completely revamped resource and help page for our (new) customers,
  • a clear structure of functions in administration, security & data protection and support,
  • and a fresh, modern look.

In June, the international MobiVisor site went live in French, Italian, Turkish, Thai and Arabic. This allows us to significantly expand our reach and accessibility for international customers.

Spring: Trade fair and IT project highlights

In May, we were represented at the OstBau trade fair. There, we presented not only our work mobile phone, but also the robust Crosscall devices – including exciting challenges that put their resilience to the test under realistic conditions on a construction site.
Also in May, we travelled to Finland for the CULTURATI meeting in Porvoo, where we set the course for the further development of the IT project. Our managing director Özer Aydemir represented IOTIQ and answered questions from curious audience members in an interesting panel discussion. You can also find a recording of the entire event on the CULTURATI YouTube channel.
In spring, our Managed Device Service team also received fresh reinforcement in the form of our working student Lena. This enabled us to work on our customer projects even more effectively.

Summer at IOTIQ: Fresh ideas & ISO kick-off

For us, the summer was all about exchange and further development. In July, we celebrated our summer party (because one Christmas party is not enough!). Our Korean interns Jaehyun and Kyungbin, who were able to spend a month each getting a taste of our development teams in Leipzig and Ankara, were also there. At the same time, our IOTIQ YouTube channel got a new look. August saw an important step for the future: the kick-off of our DIN ISO 27001 certification, which is intended to strengthen both our MobiVisor product and us as a company in terms of information security and customer trust.
Our working student Lea joined our MDS team as a permanent addition, which is now complete again with three members. Our Turkish colleagues have also been receiving support in the area of product testing since July: newcomer Hülya has previously worked at IOTIQ and therefore brings the best qualifications to the MobiVisor team.

Autumn & Winter: New channels & farewells

In September, we launched our YouTube channel specifically for the work mobile phone product in order to reach customers even more effectively with content related to our ‘Arbeitshandy’ product. And in October, it was time to say goodbye: our long-standing marketing manager Amy, who had been an integral part of IOTIQ for over six years, left us to embark on a new professional journey. We would like to thank her sincerely for her great commitment and contribution to our company identity. In late summer, our team also reached a major milestone with the completion of the large project we had been working on together with the Robert Bosch Hospital. We professionally set up and shipped over 1,000 tablets for this project. The tablets will now be returned over the course of 2026. Another highlight was the ITEA PO Days in Lisbon, where IOTIQ was represented by our product manager Toni Voß and our managing director Özer Aydemir. Both were able to use the time to make many new contacts for future research projects as IT partners. We are excited to see what the next year has in store in this regard!

Our Christmas party at the Moritzbastei Leipzig, themed ‘British Christmas’, was definitely the highlight at the end of the year. In addition to the wonderful decorations and delicious food, there was no shortage of fun. For us, it was definitely worth a hearty ‘Cheerio!’

Research & Outlook 2026: What IT projects lie ahead?

Our research and development work will remain at the heart of IOTIQ in the coming years. We have worked on numerous project proposals and have more planned within the framework of ITEA. We expect 1-3 projects to start in 2026 – and are already looking forward to new ideas and exciting collaborations.
As part of the HOMEPOT project, we will also have the opportunity to further improve our ‘MobiVisor’ software and make it fit for future IoT applications. Another important point for the future development of MobiVisor is Linux integration. We are also working on a redesign of the MobiVisor client app, which we will finalise next year. Stay tuned!

Conclusion: A year with many facets

2025 was a year full of changes, new milestones and valuable experiences for IOTIQ. We completed important projects, started new ones, further developed our product portfolio and expanded internationally. At the same time, we celebrated, learned and prepared for new challenges together as a team. We are particularly proud of the many successful customer projects that we were able to complete together with our sales partners. Overall, the number of MobiVisor licences increased by 11% compared to the previous year. The healthcare sector in particular forms our largest customer base – a sign that data protection and the security of mobile devices are receiving increasing attention and priority in this industry.
Many of our regular customers also remained loyal to MobiVisor in 2025. We are very pleased about this, as we can see how much our customers appreciate our software and service. We would like to thank all our customers, partners and employees who have accompanied us on this journey – we are ready for an exciting 2026!
